About us
Scandinavian Acoustics was founded upon our common passion to create beautiful looking and outstanding sounding critical acoustic environments. We are fresh off as a company, but not in experience.
Do you want a turn-key studio? Improve acoustic performance of a club or concert hall? Do you have a Dolby Atmos system that needs tuning? Or maybe you need help to solve acoustic problems in your office or restaurant? Either way, we are here and we would love to hear from you!
THE TEAM
The team behind Scandinavian Acoustics have together and as individuals created some of the premiere recording and mastering studios in the world.
We are quite diverse when it comes to skills and experiences. Some of us are acousticians, some are music producers and touring musicians, some are engineers working with hardware and software r&d in the field of pro-audio, and some are craftsmen experienced in leading work on the construction site.
We believe that having deep knowledge in all these fields gives us an unique holistic approach towards designing and constructing superb acoustical environments.

Andre Viervoll
Andre has been high and low in the music industry for over 20 years. He is in demand as a music producer and keyboardist and this in combination with his passion for woodwork and carpentry has led him on a path towards understanding and creating things and spaces that both sound and look amazing.
Andre has designed and built several studios through the years, and he worked many years at the Department of Musicology at the University in Oslo. Andre is one of the founders of Newtone.

Aksel Jensen
Aksel holds a Masters Degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The baseline in his career has been as a bass player and record producer, primarily roaming around the world making weird jazz music.
Aksel has always been passionate about analogue electronics, and has (as probably many others) DIY’ed himself in through the backdoor of pro-audio.
He has the soul of an entrepreneur, and is one of the founders of Newtone.

Tom Erik Skram
Tom Erik is probably the one that has the most interesting background. Originally from a small mining village in the middle of Norway he started out his professional career as a mason. Through this Tom Erik gained broad experience from the world of constructional enterprise. After this he has worked as a keyboardist, in the music- pro-audio- and hi-fi retail business as well as being music producer for NRK.
Tom Erik has run several recording studios, amongst other he ran (and built) a studio complex tailored towards recording audio books for 15 years. The running theme through all this has been Tom Eriks deep love for the Hammond organ. The Hammond organ is a symbiosis of his two greatest passions; woodwork and electromechanical machinery.
Tom Erik has also worked extensional with software- and hardware development, both with his old company Ultrafunk and in the latter years at Newtone, which he founded together with Andre and Aksel in 2018. If you want to have a further look at some of Tom Eriks r&d work, please have a look here: https://newtone.no/r+d/projects/
Tom Erik is a true connoisseur when it comes to visual aesthetics, while his taste in music is more questionable.
